Third Century AH

The Prophet (PBUH) said: The best among people are of my generation, then those next to them, then those next to them". Narrated by Al Bukhari and Muslim.

The third century is one of the worthiest centuries that the Prophet (PBUH) informed of.

  • Ibrahim Bin Ishaq Al-Bakri


    Abu Ishaq Al-Harbi (d. 285 AH) mentioned him and narrated on his authority about ten different times in his book, Al-Manasik, when specifying the locations of different places near Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah. He also mentioned his lineage, giving his name as: Abu Ishaq Al-Bakri, Ibrahim Bin Ishaq Bin Muhammad Bin Zakariya Bin Talha Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him.

  • Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Al-Qasim


    Born in Madinah, Judge Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Al-Qasim Bin Muhammad Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. He was appointed Chief Justice of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah by Caliph Al-Ma’mun of the Abbasid Dynasty (and sworn in in 198 AH). He was also the Judge of Basra in Iraq.

    Isma’il Bin Yahya Bin Ubaydullah Bin Talha Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. Known as Abu Yahya, he was from Kufa and narrated in Baghdad.
