Saleh Ibn Al-Raddad

Saleh Ibn Al-Raddad (1): The poet Saleh Bin Ahmed Bin Abi Bakr Bin Muhammad ‘Alam Al-Din Bin Al-Shihab Bin Al-Raddad of Yemen was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. He adopted his father’s school of thought, following the teachings of Sheikh Isma’il Al-Jabarti. He was a poet with a sophisticated sense of style. The date of his death is unknown. In my opinion, however, he may have lived during the ninth century after the Hijrah.
