Ahmed Zain Al-Din Al-Dahruti

Ahmed Zain Al-Din Al-Dahruti (1): Abu Al-Abbas Zain Al-Din Ahmed Bin Naser Al-Din Muhammad Bin Ahmed Bin Naser Al-Din Muhammad Bin Baha’uddin Awadh Bin Abdul-Khaleq Al-Dahruti was from the tribe of Quraysh and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. He was born in Dahrut in 745 AH. He received knowledge from his father, while his son, Abdel-Rahman, and his grandson, Jalaluddin Abu Al-Baqa’, received knowledge from him. He authored ‘Umdat Al-Mufid wa Tathkirat Al-Mustafid, which is a summary of Rawdhat Al-Talibin. He also wrote Al-Rabih fi ‘Ilm Al-Fara’idh. He died in Muharram of 819 AH after mourning the loss of his son.
