Naser Al-Din Ibn Qabila

Naser Al-Din Ibn Qabila (1): The Shafi’i jurist, linguist, and author, Muhammad Bin Awadh Bin Sultan Bin Abdul-Munim, was from the tribe of Quraysh and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. Some reports say that his name was Muhammad Bin Awadh Bin Abdul-Munim or Muhammad Bin Awadh Bin Abdul-Khaliq Bin Abdul-Munim. He was also known as Naser Al-Din and called Ibn Qabila Al-Dahruti. He was the father of Nur Al-Din, who was also known as Ibn Qabila.

Naser Al-Din was born in 700 AH (1301 AD) in Dahrut. He was the head teacher in the city of Faiyum for a long time. He was a master of jurisprudence, usul (the fundamentals of religion), Arabic, and astronomy who authored many beneficial works. He died in Dahrut while praying the dawn prayer in Ramadan of 774 AH (1373 AD).
