Jamaluddin Ibn Al-Fayoumi

Jamaluddin Ibn Al-Fayoumi (1): Judge Jamaluddin Muhammad Bin Muhammad Bin Isma’il Bin Yusuf Bin Ateeq (Atiq) Bin Naja of the tribe of Taym was a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq known as Ibn Al-Fayoumi. He used to serve in various positions of the Sultanate.

Ibn Al-Fayoumi received hadiths from Ibn ‘Allan, Abdul-Latif Al-Harrani, and others. He also transmitted hadiths. He died on a Sunday night, on the 6th of Sha’ban in 726 AH, in Hakr Al-Ghatmi near Cairo. His body was prayed over the next day, and he was buried in Qarafa.
