Ibn Al-Majd Al-Baghdadi

Ibn Al-Majd Al-Baghdadi (1): The author and poet Ahmed Bin Muhammad Bin Uthman Bin Shikhan (known as Shihab Al-Din and Ibn Al-Majd Al-Baghdadi) was from the tribe of Quraysh and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. He lived in Egypt and died in Minyat Bani Khasib on the 10th of Ramadan in 773 AH.

Ibn Al-Majd Al-Baghdadi was a skilled writer with a natural talent for reciting poetry extemporaneously. He used to earn money for his tributes to others and authored tributes in praise of influential figures.
