Abu Bakr Bin Sharaf Al-Din Ibn Amrouk

Abu Bakr Bin Sharaf Al-Din Ibn Amrouk (1): Najm Al-Din Abu Bakr Muhammad Bin Abi Al-Fadhl Sharaf Al-Din Muhammad Bin Abi Abdullah Muhammad Bin Abi Al-Futouh Muhammad Bin Abi Sa’d Muhammad Bin Abi Sa’eed Muhammad Bin Amrouk of Damascus was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq whose ancestors were from Nishapur. He was born in Damascus on the Day of Arafat in 627 AH and received hadiths there from his father, his paternal uncle (Sadr Al-Din Abi Ali Al-Hasan), Abi Al-Munajji Abdullah Bin Umar Bin Allati, and others. He lived in Egypt and transmitted hadiths there. Known as an upright citizen of good reputation, he also received hadiths in Egypt from Abi Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab Bin Thafir Bin Rawaj.

He, his father, his grandfather, his great grandfather, his paternal uncle, and his cousins, Sada and Shamia (the sons of Abi Ali Al-Hasan), all transmitted hadiths. He grew up in a righteous family with knowledge of the hadith and jurisprudence. He died on a Monday night, on the 3rd of Shawwal, in either 691 or 690 AH, in his grandfather’s ribat in Damascus. He was prayed over following Dhuhr prayer on a Tuesday afternoon in Al-Jameh and then buried in Bab Al-Saghir Cemetery near the grave of his grandfather, Abi Al-Futouh.
