Sheikh Yahya Al-Bakri

Sheikh Yahya Al-Bakri (1): “Sheikh Al-Islam” Al-Ustadth Yahya Bin Al-Hasan Bin Musa Bin Yahya Bin Ya’qub Bin Najm Bin Esa Bin Sha’ban Bin Esa Bin Dawud Bin Muhammad Bin Nuh Bin Talha Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him.

Al-Sayyid Muhammad Tawfiq Al-Bakri mentioned that the sanad of the Bakri-Shadhili Order is linked to this Sheikh Yahya Al-Bakri, and that he gained knowledge of the sanad from two sources, one of which was through his noble ancestors all the way back to Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, and the second of which was through Sheikh Abi Al-Hasan Al-Shadhili (591 - 656 AH). Based on this, it is possible that Sheikh Yahya Al-Bakri lived during the seventh century after the Hijrah.
