Qawwam Bin Hamzah Bin Qawwam Al-Mari

Qawwam Bin Hamzah Bin Qawwam Al-Mari (1): Qawwam Bin Hamzah Bin Qawwam Bin Esa Al-Mari was a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and the grandson of jurist Abu Al-Faraj Qawwam Bin Zaid Al-Mari. He was a muhaddith (transmitter of hadith) who received hadiths from Abi Tahir Al-Nasfi in Alexandria, Abi Al-Qasim Bin Asakir in Damascus, and others. He died in Damascus on a Wednesday night, on the 22nd of Jumada Al-Thani in 618 AH. Abu Tahir Ibrahim Bin Hamzah Bin Qawwam Al-Mari, who received hadiths from Aba Sa’d Bin Abi ‘Asroun and others, was his brother.
