Ibn Al-Muhib Al-Nishapuri (1): Al-Sharif Abu Al-Futouh Muhammad Bin Abi Sa’d Muhammad Bin Abi Sa’eed Muhammad Bin Amrouk, who was ‘Amr Bin Abi Sa’eed Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Al-Hasan Bin Al-Qasim Bin ‘Alqama Bin Nasr Bin Muath Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Al-Qasim Bin Muhammad Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, was from the tribe of Quraysh and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. He was also known as Fakhr Al-Din and Ibn Al-Muhib Al-Nishapuri the Sufi.

Ibn Al-Muhib was born in Nishapur at the beginning of 518 AH. He received hadiths there from Abi Al-Asa’d Hebatulrahman Bin Abd Al-Wahed Bin Al-Qushairi. He also received hadiths from Abi Abdullah Al-Husayn Bin Nasr Bin Khamis Al-Mousili in Baghdad, from Al-Hafith Abi Tahir Al-Salafi in Alexandria, and from Abi Hafs Umar Bin Abdul-Majid Bin Umar Al-Mayanshi in Makkah. He transmitted hadiths in Makkah, Baghdad, Damascus, and Egypt, becoming acquainted with Sufis wherever he went. He lived in Makkah for years and also resided in Egypt for some time, living in the Mashhad of Muhammad Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him. He then traveled to Damascus and settled in Ribat Salahuddin Malik Al-Sham, where he lived until he died on a Sunday night, on the 11th of Jumada Al-Thani, in 615 AH. On the same day he died, his companion, Abu Abdullah Muhammad Bin Abdul-Ghaffar Bin Abi Nasr Al-Hamathani the Sufi (known as Al-Mukabbis), died as well. Prayers were held over them the next day, whereupon they were taken to Bab Al-Saghrir Cemetery, where they were both buried.
