Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Amuwiah

Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Amuwiah (1): Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Amuwiah was also known as Abu Ja’far Al-Suhrawardi. He was the brother of Sheikh Abu Al-Najib Al-Suhrawardi and the father of Shahab Al-Din Abi Hafs Umar Al-Suhrawardi. Abu Ja’far worked as a preacher in Baghdad in both Jami’ Al-Qasr (a mosque) and the Nizamiyyah school (a theological institution of higher learning). He was a skilled preacher with a tremendous wealth of knowledge. He was educated under the tutelage of As’ad Al-Mayhani and appointed Judge of Sohrevard. He was killed in 540 AH, six months after the birth of his son, Abi Hafs.
