Abu Al-Samh Abdullah Hubiban (or Habiban)
Abu Al-Samh Abdullah Hubiban (1): Abu Al-Samh Abdullah, known as: Hubiban Bin Al-Hasan Bin Muhammad Bin Al-Husayn Bin Jumu’ah. He was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, and a hafith who lived in Shushtar. He was among the hadith-masters who travelled seeking knowledge of the hadith. In Khorasan, he became acquainted with the “high” sanads (chains of narration containing fewer narrators). He then settled in Shustar and grew old there without access to books. Among his teachers were Abu Nasr Al-Qurayshi, who narrated on the authority of Zahir Bin Ahmed Al-Sarakhsi, Abu Umar Al-Malihi, Abu Abdullah Al-Farisi Abharwian, Masoud Bin Nasr Al-Sijzi, Abu Al-Hasan Al-Bawardi Al-Bushanji, and countless others. His birthplace was Teez, and the date of his death is unknown. He is thought to have lived during the sixth century after the Hijrah.
