Qawam Bin Zayd Al-Mari

Qawam Bin Zayd Al-Mari (1): Qawam Bin Zayd Bin Esa Bin Muhammad Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Ahmed Bin Zayd Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abdullah Bin Abi Nafi’ Bin Ahmed Bin Rafi’ Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Talha Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq was a Shafi’i jurist from the tribe of Quraysh and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq who was also known as Abu Al-Faraj Al-Mari. He was born in 432 AH. He received hadiths from Abu Bakr Al-Khatib in Damascus, Al-Sairfini, and Abu Al-Husayn Bin Al-Nuqour in Baghdad, while Al-Sa’in Bin Asakir, his brother Al-Hafith, and Abdul-Samad Bin Sa’d Al-Nasawi narrated on his authority. He died at the age of 77 on a Tuesday, on the 7th of Ramadan in either 509 or 507 AH, but the year 509 is more likely. He was buried in Damascus.
