Hamzah Al-Khaylami

Hamzah Al-Khaylami (1): The imam and noble jurist Hamzah Bin Ali Bin Al-Muhsin Bin Muhammad Bin Ja’far Bin Musa Bin Esa Bin Talha Bin Muhammad Bin Talha Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq of Khaylam (a town in Fergana) was a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. Some sources say that his name was Hamdoun Bin Ali Bin Al-Muhsin Bin Muhammad Bin Ja’far Bin Musa Al-Khaylami.

Hamzah Al-Khaylami was appointed khalifa (successor) of Darul-Juzjaniya. In Al-Jawaher Al-Mudiya fi Tabaqat Al-Hanafiyah, Muhyiddin Al-Hanafi mentioned him, saying: He was an honorable jurist and a friend of Judge Abi Nasr Ahmed Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Ishaq Al-Reghthamouni. Umar Bin Muhammad Bin Ahmed Al-Nasafi narrated on his authority. He died in Samarqand in Dhul Hijjah of 523 AH.
