Ali, the Father of Al-Hafidh Ibn Al-Jawzi

Ali, the Father of Al-Hafidh Ibn Al-Jawzi (1): Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Ali Bin Abdullah Bin Ubaydullah Bin Hamada Bin Ahmed Bin Muhammad Bin Ja’far Al-Jawzi Bin Abdullah Bin Al-Qasim Bin Al-Nadhr Bin Al-Qasim Bin Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Al-Qasim Bin Muhammad Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, and the father of the scholar Al-Hafidh Sheikh Jamal Al-Din Abu Al-Faraj Abdel-Rahman Ibn Al-Jawzi. He used to make brass in Nahr al-Qalla’in (2) in Baghdad. He died in 524 AH.
