Ahmed Abu Al-Abbas Al-Samarqandi

Ahmed Abu Al-Abbas Al-Samarqandi (1): Ahmed Bin Al-Hasan Bin Ubaydullah Bin Muhammad, known as Abu Al-Abbas Al-Taymi Al-Bakri Al-Samarqandi. In the sources available to us, there was not sufficient information regarding this individual, other than the fact that he was called “Al-Taymi Al-Bakri.” Most likely, however, he was from the family of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him.

He narrated on the authority of his paternal uncle, Hamzah, while Abu Sa’d Al-Idrisi, a historian of Samarqand, narrated on his authority but said that his narrations were not dependable. He died after 365 AH, although some sources say after 360 AH.
