Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr As-Siddiq
Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr As-Siddiq (1): Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr As-Siddiq was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, may Allah be pleased with all of them, while his mother was Qurayba “the Younger,” the daughter of Abu Umayya Bin Al-Mughira Bin Abdullah Bin Umar Bin Makhzum of the Makhzum tribe, another sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh.
Abdullah embodied several great virtues as both the grandson of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq and a nephew to not one, but two, “Mothers of the Believers.” Abdullah was the only person to have this distinction, as his paternal aunt was “Mother of the Believers” Aisha Bint Abi Bakr As-Siddiq, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his family, while his maternal aunt was “Mother of the Believers” Umm Salama, Hind Bint Abi Umayya Bin Al-Mughira, another wife of the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
Abdullah narrated on the authority of both his father and his maternal aunt, Umm Salama. He also laid the body of his aunt Aisha to rest when she was buried and received an inheritance from her. Although the exact date of his death is not known, he was between 70 and 80 years of age when he passed away, before the killing of Abdullah Bin Al-Zubair, may Allah be pleased with both of them.
Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr As-Siddiq was married to Aisha Bint Talha Bin Ubaydullah of the tribe of Taym, who was the most beautiful woman of her time. Aisha’s mother was Abdullah’s paternal aunt, Umm Kulthum, the daughter of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq.
Abdullah had six children with his wife Aisha: Abu Bakr, Talha, Imran, Abdel-Rahman, Nafisa (who was married to Al-Walid Bin Abdel-Malik Bin Marwan), and Umm Farwa.
Abdullah was also married to Maryam Bint Abdullah Bin Uqal Al-Aqeeli and had a daughter with her: Umm Abeeha Bint Abdullah, who was married to the son of her paternal uncle, her cousin Abdullah Bin Muhammad Abi Ateeq Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr As-Siddiq.
It was narrated on the authority of Asma Bint Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr and Al-Qasim Bin Muhammad Bin Abi Bakr, that Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr divided the inheritance of his father, Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr, while Aisha was still alive, and he did not leave any needy individual or relative in the house without giving him of the inheritance of his father, reciting: “And when [other] relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the [time of] division, then provide for them [something] out of the estate and speak to them words of appropriate kindness.” [An-Nisa: 8]
