Hafsah Bint Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq

Hafsah Bint Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq (1): Hafsah Bint Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq was of the Tabi’een (contemporaries of the Sahaba) and a trustworthy narrator of hadith. She narrated on the authority of her father, her paternal aunt Aisha, and her maternal aunt Umm Salama. The Noble Hadiths were also narrated on her authority. She was the sister of Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, while her mother was Qurayba “the Younger,” daughter of Abu Umayya “Zad Al-Rakib” Huthaifa Bin Al-Mughira of the Makhzum tribe.

Hafsah Bint Abdel-Rahman was married to Al-Husayn Bin Ali Bin Abi Talib. She later married Asim Bin Umar Bin Al-Khattab and Al-Mundhir Bin Al-Zubayr Bin Al-Awam, bearing Al-Mundhir: Ibrahim, Abdel-Rahman, and Qurayba.

Hafsah died sometime during the eighth decade after the Hijrah, with some sources placing her death in 71 AH.
