Ezz Al-Din Ali Al-Suhrawardi

Ezz Al-Din Ali Al-Suhrawardi (1): Ezz Al-Din Abu Al-Hasan Ali Bin Kamal Al-Din Ahmed Bin Muhammad Bin Al-Aazz Al-Bakri Al-Suhrawardi was a resident of Baghdad and Sheikh of Ribat Sa’ada. His lineage can be traced back to Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him.

Ezz Al-Din was a prominent scholar with impeccable morals and a descendant of grand Sufi sheikhs. He was appointed Sheikh of Ribat Sa’ada as one of the conditions for the waqf (endowment) associated with it. He received hadiths from Saif Al-Din Aba Al-Najib Abdul-Qahir Bin Al-Muthafar Bin Al-Baghdadi and Majd Al-Din Abdullah Bin Mahmoud Bin Badlaji. He preached during his youth, and the imams of Madinat Al-Salam (present-day Baghdad) attended his lectures. He lived during the eighth century after the Hijrah.
