Here you can find the biographies of those who are among the most prominent men and women from the lineage of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (RA) in the many time periods and places they spread to and lived in. They have been arranged according to the centuries they lived in based on the Islamic calendar.

This section as with most sections in this site is organic and continues to grow according to the speed at which the material can be translated and checked by our experts for accuracy.

Second Century AH

The Prophet (PBUH) said: The best among people are of my generation, then those next to them, then those next to them". Narrated  by Al Bukhari and Muslim.

The second century is the century of Tabi'un. They are the nearest to the era of the Prophet (PBUH). It is the century of the scholars from the household of Abu Bakr. It is the century of the scholar of Al Madinah al-Qasem Bin Muhammad Bin Abi Bakr and his son the scholar Abdul Rahman. It is the century of the most generous person of Bakris: Talhah al-Darahem. It is the century of the sublime literature "The century of Ibn Abi 'Ateeq. It is the century of the Judges from the sons of Abu Bakr in Al Hijaz, Iraq, and Egypt. 

  • Muhammad Bin Talha Al-Darahim


    Muhammad Bin Talha Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq of Madinah was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. He was the governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah for the Umayyad Caliph Umar Bin Abdul-Aziz. Other reports, however, say that he was actually a deputy to the Umayyad governor of Makkah (Abdul-Aziz Bin Abdullah Bin Khalid Bin Usaid) during his second term governing Makkah

His mother was Qurayba Bint Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq. Abdel-Rahman Bin Al-Qasimwas a prominent citizen of Madinah, known for his great knowledge and generosity as well as his mastery of jurisprudence, the ability to memorize, and his dedication to accuracy.

    Hashim Bin Abi Bakr Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Bin Abdullah Bin Abdel-Rahman Bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq was from the tribe of Taym, a sub-clan of the tribe of Quraysh, and a descendant of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq who was also known as Abu Bakr. His ancestors can be traced to Madinah. He lived in Kufa and was a follower of the Hanafi school of thought.

He was called Abu Muhammad, and according to some sources, Abu Abdel-Rahman. Ibn Sa’d said that his mother was a concubine named Sawda.
